Starting them off young!

I have recently switched schedules to days and it has been a little weird for the kids and me. I used to love waking up with them and playing and they even helped me do little chores around the house. They were never particularly happy about doing chores but the helped no the less. Today however was a surprise! While I was emptying the dishwasher, both boys asked if they could help. They did a great job and even help me scrub the pots and pans from dinner the night before. They even seemed happy about it.

Happy Zoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!

From scary zoo to happy zoo all in one day. Well the kids are getting older which in San Diego means they are starting to get charged for things. Almost $30 just for Nick to get in. Luckily Connor, Tommy and I are still free. The boys had a great time before we got there Nick said he wanted to see a flamingo, a zebra, and a giraffe. Connor on the other hand wanted to see a elephants. They both got their wish and Tommy had a great first zoo trip he hardly made a peep just sat and peered out in wonder. Enjoy

Scary Zoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What could possible be so scary about the zoo? It's suppose to be a happy place filled with laughter and smiling children. But this time there seemed to be a dark undertone to the zoo. I kind of noticed the theme while walking around but when I looked at the pictures when we got home it really stood out. Thanks to the magic of photoshop I could make the pics look a little more dramatic. It was just a project, hope you enjoy.

What am I?

What a strange name for a children's game! Simple concept though, put your face in the hole and guess what I am. The kids had fun playing and were cracking me up.

Old Town Trolley

Keeping with the transportation theme of the weekend, I decided that it was train day. However all the trains (Amtrak, Coaster) around here are just a bit to expensive for my wallet, except for the local trolley system. The kids ride free and it is super cheap for Erica and I. We didn't ride the trolley that far just a few stops to Old Town.

Old Town is one cool place, It almost reminds me of a market in another country, everything is just more expensive, and a little cleaner except the restrooms. We took about a 2 hour stroll around and snacked on some chicken nachos at the Alamo. Erica found another cheap blanket ($8) and I got some cool pictures, enjoy.

Coronado Ferry Ride

What a blast the kids freaked out as the boat backed out of the dock. They were standing on the seats trying to see the water break against the bow, just having a good ole time. The ride only took about 15 minutes and we ended up on Coronado Island. There is a little collection of shops and restaurants that we spent a couple hours looking through. The kids even talked Erica and I into cupcakes (It didn't take much). As the sun went down we rode the ferry back across the bay, and had 3 sleepy boys. Enjoy the pics.
