Sea Life Aquarium

It's kind of nice belonging to this housing community we live in. There is just an abundance of different things that they organize and plan for their residents. All of the events are free, and everyone is invited. They also have these lotteries where residents can win different trips. We have been fortunate to win twice so far this year one to the Barona Drag Strip and the most recent, to the Sea Life Aquarium outside of Legoland. We got a pass for free parking($12), two tickets into the aquarium($40), and two gift cards to buy food or souvenirs($40) and the kids got in for free. So Pretty much an all expense paid trip. This aquarium is different from others in that it caters to children, there is even a slide at the very beginning of the tour. We ate some fresh strawberries and gourmet mac and cheese. We had a very nice Sunday.

Multimedia Babies

It's really crazy watching these two boys grow up. Even now I guess I should expect to see certain things out of them but they still astonish me. Nike has played games on the computer before but this was the first time I just let him have the laptop and play. He did really well holding his finger with his oppsite hand to control the cursor. He even picked up how to double click to get what he wanted to show up. Of course when his brother woke up he wanted to play as well but Connor is still limited to smacking the keys. So Connor choose another gadget that he could manipulate, a remote control. With that he turned on the T.V. and even changed the channel, all by coinsidence but still inpressive. I don't even think I reallly started using a computer until I was 13 or 14, by that age these two will probably out compute me, scary thought.

Hiking Mission Trails

It has been quite a long time since I've posted anything on here, so here's a little update. About two weeks ago we decided to go Hiking on Mission trails. It is a recreation area about 15 minutes from our house. It started off with me carrying Nick in the backpack, and Erica carrying Connor in the baby sling. After about an hour of hiking we took a little break on top of a hill overlooking a very small dam. Then I packed Connor into the pack and we let Nick run and play as we walked. We hiked for awhile more and then decided to head back to Oddy. Erica and I have come to a consenses those two little boys are heavy! It was a great time and we look forward to doing it again.

Fires behind our house

At about 1pm, an acre and a half of open hillside, behind our house and in between us and the highway (1/4 mile down the hill) a brush fire was burning. As Ben left for work he called to alert me of sirens and fire trucks on the highway, luckily Shannda was over to visit and we all left with her. Two adults, two children, two dogs and two cats in her tiny Honda two door Civic. Thank goodness she is always around when there's a fire!
