Zoo issues

I have a problem! Everytime I go to the Zoo with my family I end up taking a bunch of pictures of animals. This may not seem like a major problem to most people, but when you end up with hundreds, literally hundreds of pictures of animals it becomes a problem. So in our sunday trip to the zoo I tried hard not to take many pictures of animals, but you guessed it I ended up with a bunch of animal pictures! I took over 135 pictures of animals, don't get me wrong I still took over 100 pictures of my family, I think I need to seek professional help! Well enough blabbering on my part here are a couple pics of the zoo trip. Enjoy

HAPPY NEW YEAR

The name says it all!

The Gear Bag

Well like I said in my last post, I didn't really like the bag that came with my camera. The thing is huge, the space inside isn't divided right so the camera and lenses slide around and arn't very secure. I'll admit there is something about me and backpacks, for some reason I think that one can never have to many. I know weird! So after spending the money on the camera, I didn't want to buy a new bag. So I decide to make one ( with Erica's help of course ) out of foam padding that I had for fender covers and some scrap fabric that Erica had. I think that It turned out great, the camera and lenses stay in place, as well as a spare battery and an extra card. Another perk to using this pack is that it directly attaches on to The kid carrier backpack, or it can be used as a stand alone backpack. So here is a few pictures of the project as it was being built, as well as the finished product.

Well I guess it's not quite the finished product, there is another pad that was stiched to the front flap of the bag to protect the top of the gear. This picture just showed the inside of the bag better.

The Day After

Well Christmas came and went, the day after was particularly exciting for me though. My lovely wife had me drive to Ritz Camera, we had been talking about getting me a new camera. So after many days of indecisiveness, I finally went and bought a new camera, it is a Nikon D60, they had a special where I was able to get two lenses as well, a 18mm-55mm and a 55mm-200mm. The deal also came with a gear bag and 2 DVD's on how to take digital photo's with the Nikon. I don't like the gear bag that much but that will be another post, the DVD's seem to be very informative if I ever get a chance to sit and watch them! So without further Ado, here are a couple of pic that I shot with my new camera!
