Just a couple of random pictures for your viewing enjoyment. This was taken at 3am, I was volunteering as security for the homeless veterans stand down. Tent city was set up in a baseball diamond right downtown and offered free health care,legal services and food for three days. I have to say pulling a 0000-0600 shift sucks!

Oddy's Owie

So just after we left the birthday party, I went into Trader Joe's to get some pitas. While we were backing out of our parking spot, someone else was too. They said they were honking and waving but not Ben nor I saw or heard a thing until KRUNCH!!!! Poor Oddy now has a big owie! Guess what color the car was?

Connor's Birthday Party

My Masterpiece. This cake took a while to frost! Next month it's going to be Sponge Bob.

Here is the card I made for Connor. Since I made a one for Nick my first born I figured I would make a two for my second born. And when Tommy is 3 I'll make him a three since he is the third born.

Nick was being quite the little present opener-helper.

By this shot you would think it was his birthday and his gift.......he loves it! Little does he know we got one for his birthday too. I can't wait to have his party!

Big boy blew out his candles all by himself!

Loved his Elmo cake. Every time we asked him if it was time for his birthday party he would say "Elmo. Cake." That is all he was concerned about until he actually saw gifts for him then I think he realized it was a day to celebrate him. Up until then he just thought it was a day for cake.

We had a great time at the party. Only a few people showed up, so we didn't have a BBQ. I had Ben stop at this store near by to pick up some pitas and when we left, accident struck................

More pool fun

On Friday after Ben got home from work, I took a break from cleaning house and getting ready for the birthday party so we could fill up the pool again. We both had a blast playing with the boys. Connor thought he was pretty funny squirting everyone with the hose. Guess I did too!

B-lated Fourth of July

There were lots of clouds this year, so the smoke wouldn't leave and it got hard towards the end of the firework show, to see them.

This picture was taken last Sunday on Aug 13. It was right outside the door of our garage. I think she wants to be our new neighbor! Needless to say she got squashed, Ben took care of it, but I thought we should get a good picture of her first! Even though she is scary and deadly to some, I think she is fascinating at the same time!

This photo was taken on August 13, 2006 almost four years ago. It was at our house in Chula Vista. Well apparently there is another species of widow that I and many other San Diegans aren't aware of. It is called The Brown Widow. There was a story about them on the news. They are twice as poisonous as the black cousin, but only inject half the amount of venom. So the bites are pretty equal as far as attacks go. Just our luck we have lots of them hanging out around our new house. The old place had lots of black ones now we get the brown ones here. Yuk!!!


Ben took this shot out in our back yard on Connor's birthday. The tree it is in is on the other side of our fence.

These beautiful red leaves are from the tree in our back yard. It has the most beautiful pink flowers on it too, when it blooms.

On Connor's birthday, last Sunday, I made some cupcakes to practice piping on. So after dinner we had cake and sang Happy Birthday. His party was today at Chuck E Cheese and I made him this really cool Elmo cake. I didn't want to mess it up (because it was my first time piping) so I practiced, he really enjoyed it too because when I was all done he wanted me to pipe some stars onto his tongue......yum!
