Barona Drag Strip

Earlier this week we were notified that we had one tickets to the Drag races. We actually won the tickets through our housing community, pretty cool that they sponsor thing's like this. Barona Drag Strip is almost 50 minutes north East of us but it is a very pretty drive, and reminds us of Colorado. While we were there we got free t-shirts, snacks, drinks, photos, lunch, and Erica and Nick even painted there own race car. There was a small little car show behind the strip and while we were walking one of the driver's asked if Erica would sit in his car so he could adjust his suspension. This was a great time to get pics of her, as well as Nick and his Ice cream face. Since this was a small little track we were able to actually walk right next to the cars as they were heating up there tires and be 10 feet away when they launched from the starting line. I even got to see a brand new Camaro SS, I was really excited, I've been waiting for this car for years, it even ran the strip. The only drawback to this whole event was how HOT it was, we were cooking and so were are kids. So we left a little early and headed to the beach, to cool off with a little boogie boarding and sand castles. Enjoy the pics!

It's been awhile!!!!

It has almost been a month since I have posted anything. It's weird time seems to go by very quickly here. Mothers Day we went to Sea World, it is kind of a tradition for us. We have only missed one in the last 3 years and that was because I was deployed. This time seemed very different though, we went on a behind the scenes tour, fed sea turtles, pet a shark and bat rays, had a private picnic, and a private firework show. We even had a caricature drawing of Connor done, Nick had a blast on all the rides in the Bay of Play. The kids were well behaved, the only issue we had was the sun. Even with sunscreen we all got a little toasted. Here's the pics hope you enjoy.
