Water Snugglies

This week-end was rather uneventful, as far as we didn't go anywhere. We did however clean out our storage closet off of our patio. When we started the storage was overflowing with boxes and just junk. By the time we got it done we had lost 8 boxes of stuff, 5 bags of trash, and only filled about 1/4 of the storage with the stuff we are keeping. I'm actually excited about this if you couldn't tell, this means we are one step closer to having the garage cleared out.

In between the work we were doing we filled the swimming pool for the boys and watched them play. Connor had a blast because Nick put every toy in the pool he could find in the pool. Nick couldn't even stay in the pool for more than a few minutes, before jumping out and grabbing more stuff to put in the pool. The weather cooperated nicely and we had a wonderful day.

In the evening Connor has been doing this thing where he has been snuggling up to stuffed animals, or even blankets. It is very cute, he lays his head down onto the stuffed animals, and then coos and smiles.

Well hopefully it is a great Monday for all have a nice week.

Erica's Birthday

Was on Wednesday, I naturally took the day off to pamper and treat my wife. We decided to spend the day at Disneyland. If you have ever looked at the prices for Disneyland it's almost enough to make you sick. But, this year you can actually get into the park for free on your birth day, and an active duty military member gets in for free, and both of our kids are under the age of three, so we all got in for free. Well almost you do have to pay $12 to park. We rode a bunch of rides, Nick was actually scared at Pirate's of the Caribbean, and almost lost his lunch on the tea cups. We all got to meet Mickey and for once Nick wasn't scared of a large dressed up character, and Connor just wanted to grab his nose. Erica and I agree that the firework show was the best we had ever seen. And just like new years eve our children slept through the entire show. It was a great day out with the family, even waiting in line for the rides our children were very well behaved. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Coloring Eggs

As Easter gets closer we decided to color Easter eggs. Somehow we adverted a huge mess, Nick behaved and Connor just wanted to eat the eggs. It was a nice evening around the table. As I would take the eggs out of the dye Nick would say "aww beautiful egg". Now if the weather would just cooperate, we could hide the eggs and have our own Easter egg hunt. Have a happy Easter.

Egg Hunt

We had a pretty eventful 2 days, yesterday was the car show and today we went on an egg hunt and scenic road trip. The egg hunt was part of an event set up by the housing office, basically it was just a baseball diamond filled with eggs. The Easter bunny was there as well as a flower/ hat making station. They had free sandwiches, watermelon and juice. A face painting station that had a line around the field, our kids wouldn't have sat still anyways. After the egg hunt Erica and I decided to take a car ride up the scenic highway 101 also known as coast highway. It was a very nice quite relaxing ride both kids feel asleep and we just cruised up the ocean almost to Los Angeles. We stopped ate some taco's and turned around in Oceanside and headed home. A very nice relaxing day, now where home and the chaos has begun.

Good-Guys Nationals

Yesterday was a first for Connor, he got to ride in Daddy's Mustang! We packed the whole family into the Mustang and headed to Del Mar for the Good-Guys Nationals. It is a three day event where over 2,000 1972 and older cars come together and put on a show. While waiting in line to get our tickets a couple approached us and asked if we were a family, seemed a little weird but we answered " yes, why?". They happened to have extra tickets for the show and had been waiting for a family to give them to. Good deal we got in for free. We must have walked for about 3 hours just looking at all the cool old cars. As the kids were falling asleep we walked back to the Mustang loaded up and headed to get some ice cream. A very fun day!
