Baby G #3

Finally the long awaited appointment arrived! We got to see the first look of our newest addition this morning, it was very exciting although we still won't know if it is another boy or a girl until about 4 to 6 weeks from now. I'll receive a call in that time to schedule the regular ultrasound appointment where they are more thorough and can determine the baby's sex. Nick was excited to go to the appointment with us today, too. He pointed out that there was green goo on my belly and the boom boom of the baby's heartbeat. He also saw a fish on the monitor....we told him that was the baby! He is 100% convinced it is a baby girl!

Burrrrrr!

Almost two weeks ago, I got some Winter stuff out of the garage and washed it up from our snow sledding trip last year. It wasn't really dirty, just out in the garage for a long time so I washed everything to freshen it up. The kids decided they want to play with their hats and mittens so I snapped some pictures of them. They were too cute. It just so happens that the very next day Grandma and Grandpa got 17 inches of snow so I figured the boys were getting ready to go visit Grandma and Grandpa and play in the snow. Now I guess all they need is some coats, boots, and probably some pants would be nice!

We Love 3 Day Weekends

Seemed rather dull while it was happening, but looking back and going through the pictures we actually did quite a bit this weekend! The kids had a blast chalking the sidewalk, 4 wheeling, stomping in mud puddles and running naked through the sprinklers. That was just one day out of three. Nick also had a good time taking a bath in a bucket, too bad it was filled with all the dirty water from washing the van. Connor got himself a pedicure from his mom, and fought it tooth and nail. Then the fall festival was yesterday, and I was kissed by a DEVIL! It was a little fair with fried foods and rides, but there was just too many people in the lines. Erica was the only adult there who dressed up, even though it said people should come in costume. Whatever though we had fun and we even got someone to take our picture. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Miramar Airshow 2009

Off to the airshow, sounds simple enough! Leave the house 1 1/2 hours early to see the Blue Angles fly, kids are excited and so were we until we got on the highway. See MCAS Miramar is only 7 miles up the highway from us, so in theory it should take about 15 minutes to get there. I figured with airshow traffic maybe 45 minutes tops. WRONG WRONG WRONG we were sitting in traffic for over THREE hours! We did get to see the blue angles out the windows of the van, kind of. The kids were excellent they were quite and ate there snacks. By the time we parked they were both asleep. Erica and I got to have our lunch watching all the people trying to leave getting madder and madder, even yelling at the volunteer Marines directing traffic.

Out of the van and off to the show, well kind of! Since there was so much traffic and no one was moving neither were the shuttles to the gate of the show. So we took a little walk, only about 2 1/2 miles! By the time we got through security and entered the show it had been over 4 hours since we left our house! The show was a blast though we walked around and saw the static displays and pulled up a nice piece of tarmac an watched the Ariel shows. Nick's favorite were the fireworks and the wall of fire at the very end.

The next morning Nick woke up and was so excited about the show that he would not stop talking about it. So I decided we'd go again. Connor and Erica stayed at home while Nick and I headed out. There was no traffic this time, no problems parking and no angry people. We walked around for almost two hours going from display to display, Nick climbed around countless helicopters, planes, and even a tank or two. We saw Navy Divers in a tank, Nick even saw an EOD robot, and a really loud jet truck blasting down the flight line. Nick and I had a great time.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures.
